Here's my entry for GunMetalBack's Fanart Contest.

This is Illiel one of the last 3 of her kind (if I read that right)

From what I read she's pretty uber. I see her as more of the unelected leader of her group. The way Gunmetalblack drew her, she looked almost like a Japanese Noh Actor. So I wanted to keep that aspect with her.

Since she did look so Japanese I also wanted her picture to feel like a Japanese Print, so I wanted to keep her very flat looking. No Shadows, just bocks of color.

The whole thing was done with Ink, Marker, and Colored Pencils. I edited it a little in Photoshop to brighten the whole thing even more.

I hope I did her justice. There was sooo much detail in the original drawing, I really simplified her, but I still wanted some of that detail.

Oh my, the colors are so vivid and she just seems to flow through the picture. You were clearly inspired! I love it! :)

Wow, this is gorgeous Puu. She's so strong and dramatic--she does look uber. And you carried the Noh aspect through really well.

She is gorgeous, darling.

Highly doubtful. I was talking to Chris and he was putting his money on your entry, which, honestly, so am I. Your drawings of the gals are wildly good, they're tough characters, and you haven't won before. I'm betting on you.
