Here is my submission to Gunmetalblack's contest [link]
This here character is angel turned vampire so I din't want her to look too happy.
Her wings are molting at a furious rate, she's not an angel anymore and in my opinion she "could" lose her wings (probably not though)
They lyrics in the back are from linkin park.

Wow wow wow. If my Photoshop skills make you crazy, then your pen skills make me insane.

I'm impressed at how you can get so much out of two little colors just by varying patterns . . . but it still doesn't look busy or anything like that . . . The pose is really well-chosen too. She looks introspective, vulnerable, unhappy . . . The balance/symmetry of the fabric on her bottom and the wings on her top also makes my inner symmetry-freak inordinately happy.

Beautiful, Puu. Just beautiful!

I had a feeling when you entered and I took a look at your gallery you'd come up with something cool and atypical, and I was certainly right on. :) In fact you actually picked up on something I'd put in a story I never put up--the wings molting because of her vampirism, but I didn't make as symbolic a meal out of it as you did. :)

Y'all artists. So far ahead of me. ;)

I like the juxtaposition of the lyrics with the figure and the scenery and the little almost stipple-like effects on the wings. You also got some great detail on the feathers as well. One of the things I caught and bug on early about your work is the springy line it has--your drawing has this very lively animated quality I really like. :) Excellent work! :+fav: I really appreciate you entering my contest--you really bring something special and surprising to it with this pic. Very well done!

Liked it a lot, I did. :) Really makes it worthwhile to do a contest like this and see what people bring to my characters--it's always unexpected and always seriously cool. :)

Oh I do that with everyone's. :) It's a combination of liking pictures and art quite a bit, and not really ever being able to shut up. :) Folks seem to like it tho. ;)
